I’m trying to work on making a variety of interesting representational marks with the flow of the pattern of the feathers particularly on the wing.

The degree show at uni is fast approaching, looking brilliant so far! The illustration course has its website up already, where you can see all the great work from this years students; http://www.norwichillustration.com/2012/
Above is a little selection of my favorite bits of work from this years illustrators, they are by Gary Hunt, Stacey Knights, Rebecca Pomroy, Rupert Smissen, Matt Brazier, Scott Johnson, Dan Poharyskyi, Chris King, Stu MacCabe and Nicola Jones. A talented bunch and all great people, and lots of great work I couldn’t fit in this post. So check out the website, lots of them are on tumblr too which you can find on there as well!
Check us all out and cheers for the plug there Theo!
Very much looking forward to this and seeing/talking to people about my work!
Betelgeuse a star in the Orion constellation is the brightest in our sky, an indication that it’s nearing death. The natural course of the universes life slowly corrupts the stories that our ancestors catalogued thousands of years ago. Huge events trillions of miles away are effecting our past interpretation of nature and our recorded information.
In response I have created a book exploring this. I used natural materials like sea salt and chalk to represent stars and matter. The original mono prints released in edition available at the NUCA Degree show make great pieces on there own capturing the wondrous feel of endless space and the book gives the sense of time passing on each turn of the page. .
This will be on show along side my other work at the NUCA degree show on the 26th of June until the 3rd of July.
